After looking at mainstream, blockbuster films we then had to look at a smaller Independent film. I completed my research on the British film The Riot Club:
How did you find the budget? Really hard. It made a loss though audiences enjoyed it was it marketing's fault or distribution (not long enough in cinemas) in the exam you will compare this film and Selfish Giant to Jurassic World.
I found it on a Pineswood Studios end of the year budget presentation as they were one of the companies that supported this film. I couldn't find out whose fault it was, but I think that it was distributors as I don't think it was kept in cinema long enough, especially since it was released after the summer holidays. Also as this film is very British and the 'club' is one that isn't really known of outside of the UK as it used to include British politicians, so it seemed like quite a country exclusive film in terms of its context. This made it hard for audiences outside of the UK to enjoy it as much.
